The HLBH Coe is dedicated to supporting the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based and culturally informed behavioral health information and practices that help enhance service delivery and bridge access to quality behavioral health services for Hispanic and Latine populations. We aim to increase the capacity of providers and organizations offering behavioral health best practices that have been proven to be effective with Latine populations and designed to be sensitive to their unique cultural needs and experiences.
H/LBH CoE delivers educational materials on how to work with and conduct outreach with Hispanic and Latine communities including on the impact of culture, historical trauma, and migration on mental health and the provision behavioral health services. Materials and resources are made available on specialized topics such as trauma informed care, working with LGBTQ+ Latine populations, individual and family therapy approaches, substance use and recovery-oriented interventions, language access provision and peer to peer strategies and support.
