Training and Technical Assistance Manager

Angélica M. Torrado García is a public health professional with experience in quality, research, and health services. She currently serves as Training and Technical Assistance Manager at the Institute for Research, Education, and Addiction Services (IRESA) of the Central University of Bayamón School of Medicine, where she leads the training and technical assistance initiatives of the H/LBH CoE.

In this role, she coordinates, designs, and delivers science-based and promising-practice trainings and technical assistance to support professionals and organizations working with H/L populations in the field of behavioral health. She also collaborates in preparing reports, proposals, and educational products, as well as organizing conferences and knowledge dissemination activities.

She holds a background in Biology and a Master’s in Public Health, and her career includes internal audits, regulatory compliance (cGMP, GLP, OSHA, ISO), and data analysis. She also volunteers with the Puerto Rico Medical Reserve Corps, further reinforcing her commitment to community health and well-being.
