A continuum of offerings from brief educational products to in-depth products, and trainings on a variety of mental health-related topics including adjustment disorders, culturally responsive approaches to therapy and social influences of health and mental health.

Mental health is a state of mind characterized by emotional well-being, good behavioral adjustment, relative freedom from anxiety and disabling symptoms, and a capacity to establish constructive relationships and cope with the ordinary demands and stresses of life (2025-APA). Mental health is influenced by a variety of variables that include biological, social and psychological factors. Learning about the many variables that influence well-being and culturally responsive approaches is essential to implementing best practices and increasing well-being among communities.

The Hispanic/Latino Behavioral Health Center of Excellence offers a variety of virtual and in-person trainings for behavioral health providers to increase their skills in culturally responsive approaches to mental health treatment. The Center offers webinars, virtual and in-person trainings, technical assistance such as consultation and best practice implementation support for community-based organizations. The Center also develops written educational materials that provide quick practice tips and references for behavioral health providers. The following are some examples of our offerings.
