The Effect of Stigma on the Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery of SUD Services to the Hispanic/Latino Communities

May 29, 2025 | 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us for an insightful and empowering virtual event in collaboration with our partners at Shatterproof, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to reversing the addiction crisis in the United States. Shatterproof is leading the way in ending addiction stigma by shifting public attitudes and behaviors to support individuals and families affected by this chronic illness.

Together, we’ll explore how stigma—particularly within Hispanic/Latino communities—impacts access to care and what we can do to break the silence and build support.

Event Objectives:

  • Understand the impact of cultural stigma on access to mental health treatment among the Hispanic/Latino population.
  • Learn ways to reduce stigma within specific cultural contexts related to mental health and substance use.
  • Discover how education and cultural awareness can help shift perceptions and open doors to healing.

This is more than a conversation—it’s a movement toward compassion, awareness, and real change. Don’t miss it!
