Driving Change Through Policy: A Showcase by the Hispanic /Latino Behavioral Health CoE Public Policy Academy. 1:30PM ET

November 18 | 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

During Fiscal Year 2025, the SAMHSA-funded Hispanic/Latino Behavioral Health Center of Excellence created and implemented a Public Policy Academy. The goal of the Academy was to expand the Behavioral Health (BH) workforce for Hispanic and Latino (H/L) communities to bridge the gap between the BH needs of the population and service providers. Therefore, the policy academy convened teams from state/territories nationally or within a region to do in-depth work on crafting policies and strategies to address the behavioral health needs of the Hispanic/Latino population in their individual states.

The objectives of this webinar will be to:

  • Share a summary of the activities of the 2025 Academy.
  • Present the work done by the different sectors represented in the Academy.
  • Inform the results obtained from the participation in the Academy.
  • Promote the next Academy for FY 2027.
